1. The excellent growth of blog and bloggers in Indonesia in the past few years.
2. The positive potential of founding new generation who: are more expressive, are able to speak up their opinion, care to their surroundings, and are ready to be global citizens.
3. A support of information and cultural change which requires good skill of technology (specially internet and computer)
Aims
1. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of British Council in Indonesia
2. To get closer to Indonesian Bloggers Community by Introducing British Council’s work in three main focuses:
a. intercultural dialogue
b. UK creativity and the knowledge economy
c. networking for action – climate change
3. To socialise ‘blog’ as personal media

• April to mid July 2008, divided into three periods with three different topics (related to British Council’s three main focuses)
• Each topic will run for one month (period), and at the end of every period we will choose 3 winners
• At the very end period (July 2008) we will award one grand prize for best of the best winner and one most voted blog

Target Audience
Open for Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke, and not only limited to you who live in Indonesia; as long as you are 18 year old and above, and register yourselves to this weblog.
This competition is free of charge

• Content of the postings suit the assigned theme
• Creativity, ideas exploration, and the scope of information used in the postings
• Originality and effectiveness of blog or internet media used to campaign the assigned theme
• How the postings interact with the readers. Seen by number and quality of comments raised in every postings
• Most voted blog (for the Favourite Blog Category)

The First Period
First competition period open 6 April to 6 May 2008, and bring the theme ‘Intercultural Dialogue’. Please always visit our official website at www.britishcouncil.or.id to know more about our works in intercultural dialogue.
You can share your story about anything related to the theme above. That can be your personal experience, opinion, critics, photos, or anything else.
